If your child has aspirations of competing athletically as a freshman at an NCAA Division I or Division II school, they must meet NCAA Initial-Eligibility minimum standards, including minimum core course GPA and SAT/ACT test score requirements. The recruiting process can be confusing for both students and parents. Thus, it is important to be in close contact with your child's guidance counselor and OTHS Coaches, if you feel your child may have an opportunity to earn athletic scholarships. That contact should be made as early as possible to assure they will be meeting the NCAA requirements required, when that time comes. We first encourage you to visit the OTHS Guidance Department's website for a list of our counselors and stay in contact with them.
OTHS is making CoreCourseGPA.com, a web-based software program, available to all O'Fallon Township High School student-athletes and their parents/guardians free of charge. To utilize this service, get an unofficial transcript from their guidance counselor and record that coursework on the site. After recording their coursework, the web-service will help to identity potential issues with classes or ACT/SAT scores. Here is a video describing the service.
Registration is free for our students and families. To register:
1. Go to CoreCourseGPA.com
2. In the "New Member Account Creation" box enter:
